Art and Nature

“We often forget that we are nature. Nature is not something separate from us. So when we say that we have lost our connection to nature, we’ve lost our connection to ourselves.”

– Andy Goldsworthy

How often do we feel the need for deeper connections in our lives?

Simply noticing our awareness of nature helps ground us.

From there we begin to engage in conversation with the elemental forces of existence and when we listen to the rhythms and stories of nature we develop deeper relationships that teach us profound new ways to change course.

To let go. To live and to die.

Nature Mandalas

Grief is like the water of a river – capable at times of “flooding us”. Grief rituals can be seen as sturdy river banks.

Living in Right Relation

In this three day workshop we will explore how the interconnectedness of all beings centers our responsibility and reciprocity in relations.

Preparing for Dying While We Live

To do this work, we will reflect on hospice teaching. How do we learn to live our lives without being weighed down by a lifetime of wounding, anger, and regret.

If you are interested in my work, becoming a client, referring a loved one or just curious about what you have found or why you have been called here, I would love to talk to you, and answer any questions you may have.

Just reach out on my contact form.

I believe in the sacredness and  complexities of everyone’s journey and meeting people where they are. I create a holistic understanding of each client’s experience, history, and comfort level. All of the offerings on this website are created as workshops or tailored to the needs of each client.

You can find me at various classes and workshops throughout the year that I offer individually, or with the amazing creative community I am fortunate to partner with.

”Befriending Death” is a regular class I teach on death awareness, ritual, art, and grief at the Kalamazoo Institute of Arts.

Summers I will be co-guiding wilderness retreats for BIPOC, queer and Trans cohorts at Wild Mountain Retreats in Colorado.
